Wednesday June 25 to Thursday, June 26, 2025 – TESTING the Limits… From Ponce, Dorado and Isabela. And there’s a Fly and some Training…

With winds of 25 mph, and gusts recorded that reached 34 mph!!!, this is how we begin the last week of June 2025. This time, the pilots Edgardo Rivera and Luis Ruiz traveled to different places looking for the possibility of flights.

Wednesday, June 25, 2025 – Ponce (and then Dorado)…

Luis Ruiz and Edgardo Rivera met at La Guancha in Ponce in the morning. The idea was to fly over the largest cruise ship in the world, the Icon of the Sea, which was back on the island again. BUT… the wind intensity was over 25 mph+, and some gust of 34 mph !!!

Icon of the Sea Cruise at Ponce. Not chance this time to fly over it…

From the very beginning, we decided to abort any possibility of flying. But Edgardo wanted to test what it felt like to inflate his sport paraglider, 15-meter Flow RPM2 in those conditions.

Some minutes later, Luis headed to his home. But Edgardo, head to Dorado. Once there, he visit the friend and pilot David Silva, who had recently undergone an operation and is in the process of recovery (The pilot John Baez also visited David during the day). And then, at sunset, Edgardo met with the pilot Pedro Agostini, who assisted Edgardo in a fly attempt. Here we present the moment of Edgardo‘s takeoff. Here a resume of the adventures of the day. Gob Bless!!!

Thursday, June 26, 2025 – Isabela…

Luis Ruiz was in the morning with the student Scott, in Villa Pesquera Isabela. Again the winds were at 25 mph+. We tested the limits again. This time for practice with a small BGD Seed of 14 meters Paraglider.

Scott spent around 2 hours practicing and trying to control it, but, at some point, the wind got really strong. So we finished his Training for the day.
