Excellent flying conditions continued—and we made the most of them. This time, several pilots gathered at dawn at Berto’s launch site in Añasco for an early Saturday morning flight. Later on, some headed to Isabela to continue what turned into a true flying marathon.

Morning Flight in Añasco
Conditions in Añasco are always challenging for takeoffs due to the lack of wind—unless pilots are flying a trike, which requires a different technique. During one of the launches, Nixon Porrata injured his knee and had to limit his flying to riding as a passenger with Berto Garcia on the trike. We wish him a speedy recovery.
Here, we share a few videos capturing the beauty of the Añasco Valley during the early morning hours.
In Isabela…
Luis Ruiz officially began the training of Feirment Reynalt, a native of Hatillo. They started with a theoretical introduction covering learning processes and flight theory. Later in the morning, they moved on to ground-handling practice with the paraglider. Reynalt showed great skill, and if he keeps it up, he will surely become part of the team as a pilot in the near future.
Meanwhile, several pilots were flying nonstop. It was great to see Derick Castro again—Ariel’s grandson—an excellent pilot who hadn’t joined our activities for many months.
It was also a pleasure to welcome pilot Julián García, natural from Arroyo, at the East side of the Island. He visited Isabela for the first time and completed two flights around the area. We’re sharing a few videos of the pilots’ flights here.
Tandem Introductory Flights
In the afternoon, Luis Ruiz had several scheduled tandem introductory flights, giving newcomers the opportunity to experience the sport. At the same time, he continued training students Aníbal, Javier, and Reynalt. We’ve included a video highlighting the experiences of those who enjoyed their flights.

In the morning, Luis Ruiz was at Villa Pesquera in Isabela, accompanied by his son, Noah Enrique. They took advantage of the conditions to fly Tandem together, with Luis handing over the controls to his son as part of his learning process. They were also joined by fellow pilots, Darwin Hernandez & family, Iván Torres and his son, Caleb, and Pablo Cruz and his wife Millie.
At one point, was Pablo doing the Towing Flights to Noah, also Darwin took some families for a Tandem Flight. Here are some videos…
