Tuesday, November 22, 2022 – At San German with Nixon Porrata…

Taking advantage of Nixon Porrata’s visit to the island, we decided to plan some week Paramotor trips. This before Nixon returns to the USA to fulfill professional commitments.

This time, Luis Ruiz and Ted Sowinski decided to visit him in San Germán to make the morning flight in that area. We met with Nixon at 6:30 AM in the flight area near the PR2.

Preparations…

The wind was at zero mph so the flight had to be earned in a hard Take Off. Nixon managed to do it without major problems, BUT unfortunately this time, both Ted and Luis had unforeseen problems with their Paramotors and couldn’t even attempt their takeoffs 😲.

Nixon Porrata Take Off at Cero Wind Conditions…

It turns out that for this morning, Luis traveled “light”, that is with just a Jeep with 2 paramotors, one of which would be used by Nixon. In this vehicle he was not include tools for work in the Paramotors. It turns out that Luis‘s Paramotor had an unexpected problem with its spark plug and did not want to start. Something similar happened to Ted, who despite turning on his Paramotor, he left it On for a long time and the carburetor filled up with mixing oil and eventually it turned Off and didn’t turn On again either….😲

And we had no tools or spark plugs in the area. Things that happen and one always learns not to take things for granted. So on this occasion, we had to simply enjoy Nixon’s flight. He flew through the towns of Hormigueros, Mayaguez and Cabo Rojo.

Here we leave some videos taken by Nixon on his trip to Mayaguez. The resolution is not good. But you could appreciate the great flying that Nixon do…
