Team Kamikazes set out early to Posa de Teodoro in Isabela. The wind conditions remained steady at 5 mph from the northeast throughout the day. Despite the light winds, the coastal surf was noticeably strong.
Among those present were Luis Ruiz and his son Noah Enrique, along with Kristiano, who this time chose not to fly. Also arriving from Villa Pesquera were Sammy Badillo and Miguel Orona, both arriving by air.
Another pilot who joined us by air was Edgardo Rivera, flying in from Arecibo. Later in the day, he flew back there. Edgardo had a few stories to share—he lost his phone mid-flight (again!) and faced a propeller issue while airborne. Thankfully, everything turned out well: he recovered his phone and made a safe landing despite the incident.
Introductory Flights – A First Taste of the Sky
Luis Ruiz conducted several introductory flights for newcomers interested in experiencing the thrill of flight. Visitors came from across the island—Verónica and her father Luis (from Florida and San Juan), Cristal Martínez (from Camuy), and young Coral, an 8-year-old who returned for her second flight (from San Juan). This time, Coral was accompanied not only by her parents but also by her grandmother, Carmen Dolores, who was inspired to take flight herself, specially on her birthday.
We’ve put together a short video capturing some of these special moments and memories. If you’d like to experience the sky for yourself, give us a call at (787) 717-2384 and we’ll be happy to coordinate your adventure!
