It was an extremely active weekend of flying, even with very strong wind conditions. Winds ranging from 17 to 22 mph, with gusts reaching 25 mph, were the norm. Despite this, we not only flew safely, but also managed to complete several introductory flights along the way. All of this took place in Villa Pesquera, Isabela.

The morning…
With wind conditions between 20 and 25+ mph, we had an excellent day full of flying activities. A few years ago, flying in these conditions would not have been possible. However, thanks to advancements in equipment and improved pilot skills, it is now possible to fly safely and confidently in those kind of winds.
We took the opportunity to sign a Puerto Rico flag for our pilot friends from Chicago, who will surely continue visiting us in the future.
Edgardo Rivera and Wilkins Torres decide to fly early morning. In the case of Wilkins, he decided to keep Luis Ruiz’s “vintage” paraglider, the Paramania Revo 26-meter. With this wing, Wilkins flew comfortably around the area.
Meanwhile, Luis Ruiz successfully carried out introductory flights for Francisco and Mariam from Florida, USA, always following proper safety precautions. Both were extremely happy with their experience and their new adventure in the sport.
Tourism Company at Jobos Beach…
Later in the afternoon, pilots Edgardo Rivera, Nixon Porrata, Darwin Hernández, and Luis Ruiz flew all the way to Jobos, landing in front of a large crowd gathered at the location.
While there, completely unplanned, we recorded several flight videos for the Puerto Rico Tourism Company. These videos will be showcased in European events, highlighting the natural beauty and recreational opportunities our island has to offer.
