We had two action-packed flying days over the weekend, each filled with stories and adventures worth remembering.
Friday, June 12, 2026 – Isabela
It was another busy flying day at Villa Pesquera in Isabela. Arriving early and ready to take advantage of the excellent weather were Nixon Porrata, Javier González, Abel Bonilla, Mario Muñiz, Scott Sansone, Mai Richards, and Luis Ruiz with his son, Noah Enrique. With so many pilots and students in the air, the skies stayed active throughout the day.
One of the day’s highlights was an introductory tandem flight for Mai, flown by Luis Ruiz. The experience marked another important milestone, as she is now preparing for her very first solo paramotor flight in the coming days.
In the meantime, Javier continued refining his flying skills, this time with Nixon providing guidance and instructions over the BT throughout the flight.
As for Noah, he spent part of the morning having fun on the sand dunes before launching for an impressive flight of more than an hour in his Airnest 1.1 paramotor paired with an 18-meter Sky Z Blade wing.
Saturday, June 13, 2026 – Añasco & Isabela
At sunrise, we decided to visit our friend and fellow Team Kamikazes pilot, Berto García, at his private flying field in Añasco to make the most of the calm morning conditions.
Joining the adventure were Luis Ruiz and his son Noah Enrique, Berto García and his son Michael, Edgardo Rivera with his students Miguel Carrasquillo and Fernando de Hostos, along with Nixon Porrata.
The next generation of pilots, Michael and Noah, took to the skies with confidence and no major issues. Shortly afterward, Edgardo and Nixon launched as well. As usual, the two couldn’t resist heading off together on a short cross-country flight.
Later That Day – Back to Isabela
After wrapping up our morning flights in Añasco, we packed up and headed back to Villa Pesquera in Isabela, where another group was already waiting for us. Wilkins Torres arrived with his wife Brenda and their son Wilkins Jr., joined by Pedro Agostini, Mai Richards, Pedro Gregory with his mother Dominga, Chino Morales, and Sammy Badillo.
Once again, the field was full of pilots, students, friends, and plenty of activity throughout the day.
Towing Training for Mai
Student/pilot Mai Richards continues making excellent progress and is now ready for bigger challenges. With Pedro Agostini assisting, she completed several successful training flights using the towing method, another important step toward becoming an independent pilot.
Introductory Tandem Flights
Luis Ruiz also conducted several introductory tandem flights. This time, the passengers were Daianna Rivera, who traveled from Peñuelas, and Jesús, a friend from Mexico who now lives and operates businesses in Puerto Rico.
Both enjoyed an unforgettable introduction to the world of powered paragliding, and we’re excited to share some of their experiences.
Noah Enrique Keeps Soaring
Young Noah Enrique continues sharpening his paramotor skills with every flight. Sometimes, videos tell the story far better than words ever could, and this was certainly one of those days.
