Wind had been everyone’s biggest concern leading up to the event, but today we had an unexpected gift. A hazy morning sky kept the winds calm, creating excellent flying conditions that lasted throughout the day. Pilots of every experience level enjoyed smooth, safe flights from sunrise until evening.
For anyone hoping to fly during Zumba la Maruka 3, this was the day.

Luis Ruiz completed three more introductory flights. One of them was for Julián Jr., the son of pilot Julián GarcÃa, who had traveled from Arroyo to attend the event. After experiencing the skies himself, Julián Jr. gained a whole new appreciation for the passion that keeps his father flying. Luis also shared the adventure with Roche and her friend Nancy. Roche is the girlfriend of pilot Omar Colón, who had flown in from USA just two days earlier to be part of the celebration. Late afternoon, Rebecca, wife of Kristiano also enjoyed a special fly.
Danis and Luis landed at Jobos Beach…
At one moment of the day, the pilots Danis Rodriguez and Luis Ruiz goes flying to Jobos Beach, and from once they landed there. Jobos Beach was packed of people on 4th of July as expected…
