Once again, windy conditions dominated the weekend. We returned to Villa Pesquera in Isabela, where the Team Kamikazes family managed to squeeze in a few flights and training sessions before the wind took over.
Saturday, July 18, 2026…
By the time Luis Ruiz arrived at Villa Pesquera, the pilot Abel Bonilla had already completed his morning flight and was back on the ground.
Joining Luis and Abel were student/pilot Juan Flores and his wife, Iris. Juan spent the morning working on his training with Luis providing guidance and assistance.
We wrapped things up around noon as the wind steadily increased, making flying no longer practical. It was time to call it a day, get some rest, and come back for another try tomorrow.
Sunday, July 19, 2026…
The strong winds continued. This time we were joined by New Jersey pilot Julio Rodríguez Cano, who, just like Abel had done the previous morning, took advantage of the early calm conditions to enjoy a local flight around the area.
Although Abel was with us again, he decided to stay on the ground. Instead, Luis and his little son Noah Enrique and our good friend and fellow pilot Danis Rodríguez took to the skies. Danis would soon be returning to New York to fulfill his professional commitments, making this another great opportunity to enjoy flying together.
Luis Ruiz also managed to complete an introductory tandem flight with Kathy Spaid, who arrived accompanied by her husband, Héctor. Kathy had previously flown with Luis on several occasions, and after a couple of years away, she returned to experience the magic of paramotor flight once again.
Also joining us for another great day of flying and friendship were Mario Muñiz and his wife, Ivonne, along with Pablo Cruz and his wife, Millie and Juan Flores with his wife Iris. By around 1:30 PM, the wind had become too strong for safe flying, bringing another enjoyable weekend of flying adventures to a close.
