The Adventures…

We received a pleasant visit from the pilot Ken Arciola and his wife Elsie. They reside in New York, USA, and from time to time they come to share with us in Puerto Rico. In Ken’s case, he has mastered his front Launch, here in the island he is perfecting his Reverse Launch Technique.

The first to fly in the morning was Charles, who arrived very early. Later he was followed in the air by Ken, Abner, Ricardo, Sammy, Luis and Alberto. The wind came light and from the NNW direction. This posed an additional challenge for the pilots to take off and landings due to the geography of the terrain that push the run towards the rock and open sea. Even Mario, play safe and keep just practicing during the day.

Abner flying High at Isabela. But check at Final, his first MOTOR OUT !!!!

At one point, we celebrated the surprise birthday of Abner. He even fight with the piñata as is tradition in our celebrations. Also, we have pending the surprise birthday of Wilnelia. But she could not attend due the situations of Edgardo, Omar and Darwin.

The Adventure of Edgardo, Omar and Darwin…

As part of the adventures and challenges of the day, Edgardo, Darwin and Omar came up with the idea of arriving at the Isabela activity by flying from “El Único” Beach in Dorado. This is about 70 miles away along the entire north coast of the island.

The plans in the morning…

They manages to Take Off but unfortunately the plans need to changes several times as they tried to get closer to Isabela. The unstable weather conditions that Storm Earl had brought with erratic rains and winds, made them to land very close to his original location. First Stop was at the hotels of Dorado, second stop in Vega Baja, and with great difficulty they managed to reach the North Park of Hatillo. Ivonne Valdez was waiting for them there after a previous compromises she had in the area.

Difficult Launch at Dorado. NO Wind at all…

The pilots eventually made the decision to fly back to Dorado instead of keep pushing to Isabela. They managed to arrive to Dorado just at sunset!!!!

How they look from Ground !!!
At Sunset, finally back to Dorado. What a Day !!!!
