We returned to Villa Pesquera Isabela, taking advantage of the good weather conditions. This time we had the visit of the international paramotor pilot, John Carter and his wife Ashley, from Tennessee, USA.
John has good experience flying, but in the traditional conditions of the USA, light winds and flights either in the mornings or in the evenings. This time the conditions were different. Flying off the beach, 15 mph winds, were conditions not yet explored by John. (Even more so, in temperatures of 75 F, when in Tennessee it was in the 30s F). Luis gave to John a Fly Products Eclipse Moster, that will be perfect for John’s Ozone Spyder 3.
Along with John and Ashley, were present Luis Ruiz, Mario Muñiz and his wife Ivonne, and the pilot/student Fio López.
The morning flights…
Luis Ruiz took Ashley around the area on a Tandem Demo flight, accompanied in the air by Mario. Meanwhile, John stayed with Fio practicing the controls of paragliding on ground. He started to get used to the conditions.
Once Luis finished his fly with Ashley, he began to set the fly of John in the area. This included instructions, equipment verification, etc.
Mario, in turn, stayed next to Fio, who, due to the intensity of the winds, faced unforeseen problems in his control of his paraglider.
John’s Fly and reaction after his flight…
After the required instructions and preparations, John Took Off without any major problems to fly along the beach coast. He was flying for about 40 minutes, while Ashley took some good videos of him.
Once he landed, he talked about one of his best Paramotor flight experiences, and promising to return. He will be venturing Puerto Rico in other touristic places in next days. Blessings!!!
