After a weekend of flying activities, Luis Ruiz had the opportunity to meet with the pilot and friends Darwin Hernández and Kenny. They arrived from Florida, USA, and will be flying here for the next days. The meeting point was Villa Pesquera Isabela, at noon.
The Plans…
When Luis arrived, he found that Darwin and Kenny were already flying in tandem together over the Royal Isabela Cliff. They were taking advantage of the strong winds coming in from the NNE to practice Free Fly feelings. Some minutes later, we planned a visit Jobos Beach. If the weather permit, we could land there, even though the winds were at 18 mph+ at the time. Finally, as planned, we landed at Jobos Beach and spent there a good time enjoying the beach.
But, this did not last long as the wind continued to increase in intensity. We need too hurry to comes back to Villa Pesquera. The winds were already at 22 mph+!!! and getting stronger.
A Demo Fly…
Luis Ruiz, upon arrival, was waited at Villa Pesquera by Daniel, a native of Cali, Colombia. He was with his family, and wanted to take the Introduction to Sport flight. Luis Ruiz coordinated it and the flight was carried out with excellence.
Extra Video(s) and Story… (Shit Happens sometimes!!!)
Shit happens sometimes… By the end of the day, I left my beloved Sky Zorro Paraglider below a palm when was time to finish the activity. I go home without it… I was lucky because, somebody could find there and take it to home with it. But, fortunately, nobody does that, and when Darwin arrive next day (Tuesday), he found the Paraglider by luck… (I still don’t know at the moment that my glider was there…).
Then, Darwin bring it at my home (Thanks!!!), and when I open it, I discovered that the paraglider is broken… some lines and cells damage… looks like in effect, somebody found it and had the idea to try to kite it there, without knowledge and heavy winds. I think, after inspection and analysis that it gets stock in the trees or bushes, and the person, looking to bring everything to normal position with the Paraglider below the Palm, force and pull the glider hard from the bushes making the damage on it…. Shit happens. Now the glider will be send to Elisabeth Guerin at Florida, USA for proper restoration. God Bless!!!
