The Team Kamikazes pilot family took things outdoors this weekend, setting up camp at Posa de Teodoro in Isabela. The weather definitely brought a challenge—especially on Saturday, when strong wind gusts pushed past 28+ mph—but that didn’t stop the crew from making the most of it. In fact, the tough conditions turned into the perfect training ground, as the school’s new students got an intense and valuable workout.
It was a full house, with pilots and families showing up in force. Among those present were:
Juan Flores and family from Ponce (student)
Cesar Pungirum (student)
José “Viva” Méndez and his son Jeremy (retired pilot on his way back)
Danis Rodríguez
Edgardo Rivera and his wife Wilnelia
Pedro Gregory
Hermes Ferrer and family
Wilkins Torres and family
Javier Cordero and his brother Ivan
Reynel Fermaint and Family
Chino Morales
Aníbal Marrero
Darwin Hernández
Randy Kester
Pedro Agostini
Mario Muñiz and his wife Ivonne
Fio López
Sammy Badillo
Francisco Canabal IV
Luis Ruiz and his little son Noah Enrique

In the morning, there’s a lot of students in the Field. The wind was kind of heavy and the guys kept practicing ground control with the Paragliders.
Also, there’s a friendly challenge in the kitting control, and the pilots Darwin and Edgardo were trying to emulate Noah on his back and front flip… Check that out…
We had the visit of the pilot and friend Danis Rodriguez from New York. Here, as a Tradition, sending a message to Esteban…
One of the weekend’s standout moments was seeing “Viva” Méndez back in action after 12 years away from the sport. Not only did he get back under the wing, but he also introduced his son Jeremy to the skies—and the kid showed some serious natural talent right out of the gate in controlling the paraglider on ground.
Also, is worth to mention that there’s a manifestation at Villa Pesquera, related to constructions that have been made close to the reserve of natural resources of the island. Today the people met there to walk around the area. We managed to fly over the activity…
