Friday, March 28, 2025 – (3) “Five Stars” Pilots (and a Student), taking the best of a Windy Day with a visit to Jobos Beach & More…

After an excellent day of flying yesterday, the heavy winds arrived again. And no improvements are expected for the weekend. Today, we decided to meet at Villa Pesquera ISABELA, before the weather gets bad again.

Presents were, the pilots Edgardo Rivera, Jomar Crespo and Luis Ruiz. The Team student, Rebecca, also arrived, ready to practice with a mini Paraglider if it is possible.

The morning… Practices and Flights!!!

Rebecca arrived early, and together with Luis Ruiz continued her classes to master the paragliding control, this time in considerable heavy wind. Luis provided her with a 13-meter training paraglider and she demonstrated her skills and great progress.

Later in the morning, Luis Ruiz gets ready to fly with Edgardo and Jomar. The wind at the time was between 15 to 18 mph coming in from the ENE and threatened to pick up. So it was time…

The pilots goes flying along the entire coast, with a short stop at Posa de Teodoro. Later, we decide to land at Jobos Beach. and enjoy the beauty of the place.

Come.. Join Us through our eyes in the adventure…
This is the delicate part. The pilots needs to calculate very well their approach and landing at the place.
Edgardo… “Que tu haces?”…
A short trip and view at the Jobos Beach area…

After about 30 minutes in the place, it was time to return to Villa Pesquera. This time, and we already imagined it, the wind had picked up intensity, and was easily over 23 mph+. The departure was very challenging, definitively not for novice pilots. But (3) excellent pilots managed to fly safe with the adequate equipment for this conditions. Upon returning to Villa Pesquera, it was time to pick up.

Solidarity with Chino Morales…

The idea of meeting this morning also had to do with the visit and solidarity towards our friend and pilot, Wilkins “Chino” Morales. He was today with his family in a cemetery in Isabela, saying goodbye to his father’s ashes, which would be buried. Several of the pilot brothers wanted to be present in solidarity and strength with Chino and his family. God Bless!!!
