Wednesday, December 28, 2022 – A visit to Lajas Valley…

Luis Ruiz and Ted Sowinski went early in the morning to fly the Lajas Valley. This time they visited Team Kamikazes pilot José Sánchez Sr. at his offices in Lajas, from where they would fly.

José, had not flown for months but in communication with Luis, he had left everything ready to accompany them on the flight adventure earlier today.

Arriving in the morning, flying conditions were perfect, although the traditional mist we expected to see in the morning was not there 😒… The wind intensity was at zero, So, it was possible to fly the entire Valley in all directions, as long as the pilots managed to get off the ground…

Zero Wind Intensity…

On this occasion, both José and Luis had trikes to facilitate their takeoffs and landings. This was not the case for Ted, who would attempt to take off on foot.

When the time came, José, after several attempts, managed to Take Off on his beautiful Fly Products Vertigo Trike, with a Simonini Mini3 engine, while Luis, went on a Trike with a Vittorazi Moster engine behind him. Ted, unfortunately after a couple of attempts to Take Off, could not do it and gave up the idea of continuing to try due to the humidity of his paraglider 😒.

Jose Sanchez Sr. already in the Air.

Anyway, as always it was a great adventure and we will return to the Valley again soon for Ted to try his flight again. It was nice to see and share with José, who despite not flying so much, managed to take off very well and flew for about an hour throughout the Valley 💪.
