Tuesday, January 30, 2024 – Flights in 5 Towns, Ponce, Aguada, Rincon, Dorado and Isabela…

Very active day of flights, taking advantage of excellent weather conditions, there was activities in 5 towns of the island!!!. Of course, you have to know a little about the climate and its behavior to know how to take advantage of the best conditions, and I explain…

(AM) La Guancha in Ponce…

In the morning the conditions for flying in Ponce were ideal. This is because the winds at this time for all of Puerto Rico were coming in from the south direction. The Kamikaze pilots Edgardo Rivera and Luis Ruiz arrived there, along with the international pilot from Connecticut, USA, David Christian, who would fly with us in the morning before returning to the USA in the afternoon.

Getting Started…

As expected, the winds were light and smooth, and the 3 pilots took the opportunity to fly all morning the coast of Ponce.

(PM) “El Único” Beach in Dorado…

Several Team pilots, including Roberto Nieves, Pedro Agostini, Ariel Rodríguez, Gabriel Rodríguez, Edgardo Rivera (after flying in Ponce in the morning) and Carlos Robles, met in Dorado in the afternoon.

The winds were coming in from the South all morning, but then in the afternoon, they rotated and began to come in gently from the North. This was used by the pilots to fly around. Here we leave some videos of their experiences…

(PM) Pico de Piedra Aguada Beach and a visit to Rincón…

Luis Ruiz went with his son Noah Enrique to practice with the paragliders on the beach of Pico de Piedra. The winds came gently from the North and while Noah practiced with the paraglider, Luis took a short flight around the surroundings that took him to the area of the Rincón Nuclear Plant. He took some awesome videos and photos.

(PM) Isabela, South Winds…

The local pilot, Alberto Sabah, went to fly in Isabela in the afternoon. The winds never came from the North as in other places, but since Alberto had seen so many pilots flying in Puerto Rico he decided to go out and fly anyway, 😁.
