After Fio‘s adventures closing last month. This time we started the month of April with a lot of wind… But not just any wind, this time the winds reached 30 mph, and some gusts to 40 mph!!! Furthermore, this wind started on the same day of Anasco, March 29, 2025, and continued strong, every day, until Wednesday, April 9, 2025, when it dropped to 15 mph with gusts of 20 mph, and that was a great improvement considering the past few days…
During these days, we had some flight attempts that we review below…
Saturday, April 5, 2025 – Anasco…
Some pilots ventured to Berto Garcia’s flying grounds in Anasco just at sunrise. The idea was to make some flights before the winds and bad weather arrived. But, unfortunately, this time it dawned rainy for the entire area and with gusts since early morning.
Only Edgardo Rivera and Jomar Crespo venture to fly in that conditions, and the flights did not last more than 10 minutes. Chino Morales, Berto García and Chey Sánchez were also present.
Later in the day, Luis Ruiz, and his wife Jessica, took their son Noah Enrique to the Chiringas Festival in Isabela. They had a good time with winds exceeding 25 mph.
Monday, April 7, 2025 – Isabela…
Chino Morales and Jomar Crespo managed to arrive very early in the morning to Isabela. They managed to make few flights along the coast of Isabela before the winds increased in intensity.
Luis Ruiz arrived in the afternoon, with the students Miguel Orona, Kris and Rebecca, but there was nothing to do. Winds of 25 to 30 mph dominated the entire coast.
Tuesday, April 8 and Wednesday, April 9, 2025 – Isabela…
Luis Ruiz met with students Kris and Rebecca, both days at Isabela. They managed to do some inflation practices with the Trainer Paragliders. The size of the Trainer gliders were 13, 14 and 18 meter. Despite the strong wind, progress is observed in both students that could handle to practice in those conditions.
Thursday, April 10, 2025 – Isabela…
This time the weather was suitable for practicing and flying. Winds on this occasion remained from the NE at 12 to 15 mph. Luis Ruiz took advantage of the morning to fly several of his paramotors that had not been working for some time. This after giving maintenance to several of them during the week.
