We begin the month of May 2025 with a couple of activities in the area of Villa Pesquera, Isabela. Both days, we had a great challenge due to the weather conditions. There was a lot of wind and that made us fly with caution. In the end we had a great time both days, here’s the story…
Friday, May 02, 2025…
We were flying in Villa Pesquera early in the morning. The Instructor Luis Ruiz had to meet with Mr. Miguel Cubero (owner of the bicycle business in Aguadilla, Pro Cycling). He is interested in entering the sport, and today we had coordinated his introductory flight to the sport. The wind was strong, at about 18 to 20 mph, with some gusts to 22 mph, but, it was steady with little turbulence. So we were going to make the flights.
We had the opportunity to make an additional flight that day, before closing operations. We coordinated the flight to Ferriel who arrived accompanied by her husband Augustine, both natives of Italy. They had observed the previous flight and Ferriel had been encouraged to do so.
After this, the wind gets stronger and it was time to pick up…
Saturday, May 03, 2025…
We returned again to Villa Pesquera, Isabela. This time the weather was better than yesterday. Luis Ruiz was accompanied by his son Noah Enrique, who stayed in the morning hours in a painting workshop coordinated by the Team student, Shirley Hernández at Princesa Beach in Villa Pesquera.
In the meantime, Luis Ruiz received a visit from his friend and possible student at the school, Francisco Canabal IV, a skilled guy and strong candidate to learn to fly Paramotor. Also present were the pilots Sammy Badillo, Jomar Crespo and Hermes Ferrer. They all were flying later along the beach coast.
Some Demo Flights…
Luis Ruiz, took advantage of the morning to make the introduction flights to the sport for Francisco Canabal IV, and for Noemi, who arrived from Connecticut, USA, accompanied by her friend Rafael, from Florida, USA. Here we leave a video that best describe the flying experience.
Kiting and Inflation Practices…
As we had mentioned, Francisco is a skilled guy in multiple sports. Today after his introduction flight, he had the opportunity to practice controlling the paraglider. He did with excellence, and at one point he was accompanied by Noah, who had already arrived from his workshops with Shirley.
Extra Videos (and a Unicycle?)…
At one point, after the flights, Jomar wanted to practice a with a unicycle, and in that area, Francisco is an expert. So, we leave here a video related to the practice.
