Tuesday and Wednesday, June 17 & 18, 2025 – A lot of FUN at Isabela with Pilots polishing skills despite the heavy winds…

Strong winds continue. But we continue to be active within what conditions allow us…

Tuesday, June 17, 2025… Pilot Morgan Jackson in the house…

Luis Ruiz was with his friend and pilot Darwin Hernández in Villa Pesquera, Isabela. This time and as usual for this time of year, the winds were between 17 to 22 mph with gusts exceeding 25 mph.

We had a visit from the international pilot Morgan Jackson who arrived accompanied by his family.

Starting the morning with Morgan & Family plus Darwin Taking Off…

Morgan has good flying experience, but not in these windy conditions. So, we decided to concentrate on kept practicing ground paraglider inflation using the Reverse Launch method. As he gets better in the practices, we increased the sizes of the paragliders that he were using, until we brought Morgan to paragliders that could fly in those conditions. At the end of the morning Morgan decided not to fly, but he had a great workout in those windy conditions.

Morgan, started his practice in heavy winds with a Trainer Apco Glider of 13-meters.
Upgrading the size of the Paraglider. Now a BGD Seed 14-meters.
Finally, Morgan, controlling the Sky Zorro 22-meter in heavy winds conditions.

During the morning, also, Luis took off for a flight, and Darwin was flying all morning. He even made some acrobatics while polishing his skills.

Wednesday, June 18, 2025… Pilots polishing their skills…

This time alongside Luis Ruiz were arriving the pilots Edgardo Rivera and Fio López. This time the winds ranged from 17 to 23 mph all day.

For Edgardo, this was not a major problem, and he continued flying with his ultra-fast 15-meter Flow RPM2 paraglider. Luis Ruiz accompanied him in the morning and they arrived flying at Jobos Beach round trip comfortably.

Luis and Edgardo flying together in strong winds through the coast of Isabela.

In Fio‘s case, he began his training today in order to use paragliders smaller than his 22 meter paraglider. He need to master this skills in order to be able to fly in these conditions.

Luis Ruiz initially provided him with a 13-meter training paraglider, then we upgraded to a 14-meter, to finally take him to the one he would use during the day. The 18-meter Sky Z Blade, with which I could fly in these conditions. His improvement was notable during the day.

Fio started his Ground Handling Training with a BGD Seed 14-meters.
