Tuesday, September 30, 2025 – Oscar Pimentel’s First “SOLO” Flight
Oscar is a commercial airline pilot who has been very close to fellow pilot Darwin Hernández since their school days. This time, Oscar spent a few days with Darwin practicing, with the goal of learning to fly a paramotor. Today, finally, after several days of training, we had the perfect weather conditions for Oscar to attempt and successfully complete his first “SOLO” flights. The weather was excellent at Villa Pesquera Isabela, with 5 mph winds from the north. Present along with Oscar and Darwin were Edgardo Rivera, Fio López, and Luis Ruiz.
Thursday, October 02, 2025 – Aslin Mercado’s First “SOLO” Flight & More…
Much like what happened with Oscar, this time we had the opportunity to assist and support Aslin Mercado on her first “SOLO” flight. She has been receiving training from Edgardo Rivera, who has treated her like family. All the practice and training came together in her first flight today. Present and also flying were Scott Sansone, Fio López, Edgardo Rivera, Nixon Porrata, and Luis Ruiz.
