This Saturday turned out to be a truly enjoyable one. We welcomed several pilots and their families who traveled from different parts of the island to join us. The morning blessed us with excellent flying conditions—smooth air, steady winds, and clear skies. The afternoon did get windier, but not before we made the most out of the early hours.
🪂 Pilots and Families in Attendance
We had a great turnout that filled the day with good energy:
- Hermes Ferrer, his wife Neisha, and their daughters
- Luis Ruiz, his wife Jessica, and their son Noah Enrique
- Kristiano, his wife Reba, and their friends
- Mario Muñiz and his wife Ivonne
- Wilkins Torres, his wife Brenda, and their son Wilkins Jr.
- Darwin Hernández and his girlfriend Zusnamy
- Nixon Porrata
- Omar Colón
- Sammy Badillo
- Miguel Orona
✈️ Activities of the Day
Not everyone flew, but plenty of flying happened—and with it, lots of moments worth sharing.
It was especially nice to see Mario and Ivonne return after several months of absence. Mario even took some time to practice with the paraglider. We were also glad to have Omar with us; although he now lives in the USA, he always visits whenever he’s on the island.
On the flying side, Luis Ruiz enjoyed a scenic low-altitude flight along the coast all the way to Villa Montana. Hermes Ferrer and Wilkins Torres also took to the skies, and Miguel dedicated some time to practicing foot drags—though he had a minor altitude issue in the morning that he handled well…
👨✈️ Introductory Flights: New Pilots in the Making
One of the highlights of the day was seeing Brenda take another major step toward flying solo. Luis Ruiz went up with her as a passenger, and she controlled the glider for most of the flight. She’s getting close—very close—to flying on her own.
Luis also took Kingston, a friend of Kristiano, for his first flight experience. This one was a bit more challenging, as the wind picked up quickly. Luis and Kingston ended up flying right at the limit of what the paramotor could safely handle, with winds easily reaching 23 mph+. Fortunately, Kristiano was on the ground assisting, and despite the demanding conditions, everything went smoothly.

Overall, it was a fun and rewarding Saturday—great company, memorable flights, and progress made in the air. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
