Since the first part of the race between Nixon and Edgardo last Thursday the 18th, things had been left unfinished. Edgardo took the worst of it, while Nixon was dripping with confidence. Yesterday, during the Christmas party, the topic came up again. And today we arrived at the moment everyone was waiting for: Part II of this showdown between two great pilots.
This time, the weather had changed. Constant winds were blowing at 17–18 mph, with gusts reaching 25+ mph. Definitely more intense than what we experienced on Thursday the 18th. Would this be a deciding factor? Time would tell…

Tandem Flights – Introduction to the Sport…
Early in the morning, Luis Ruiz managed to carry out three tandem flights as an introduction to the sport. First were Ericka Lebrón’s daughters, Yavi and Gigi, who had previously coordinated their flights. A little later, Yashira also took to the skies—she is a friend of Carmen Cruz, who has flown with us before.
All three flights were somewhat limited due to safety concerns and strong winds, but all three participants truly enjoyed the experience. Here we leave a short video that better captures what those moments were like…
The Race – Part II…
There was a lot of anticipation surrounding the outcome of this race. Edgardo and Nixon had made it clear that both wanted a rematch, and today was the day. This time, under stronger wind conditions.
Edgardo would be flying his 15-meter Flow RPM2 paraglider, while Nixon used a 17-meter RPM2 in much better condition—practically brand new. As for the paramotors, you can imagine: nice and heavy to help push the speed.
