Finally—after literally three straight weeks of heavy winds—the breeze finally backed off… and we made the most of it.
Thursday, March 19, 2026…
For a Thursday, the scene at Villa Pesquera was buzzing. Showing up and ready to fly were Scott Sansone, Shirley Hernández, Edgardo Rivera, Chino Morales, Mario Muñiz (with Ivonne), Pedro Gregory, Nixon Porrata, and Luis Ruiz. Not bad at all for a weekday session.
Ground drills getting dialed in…
Shirley was back putting in work, and Mario is officially back in the game—taking it slow, rebuilding fundamentals, and putting in solid inflation practice like a pro.
Flights, flights, and more flights…
Meanwhile, Scott, Nixon, Edgardo, and Luis (flying Shirley’s wing) were logging airtime along the coast. After weeks of tough wind conditions, getting back in the sky felt that good.
In Hatillo, Albert Cardona made also an epic flying, taking off from Parque del Norte.
Edgardo and Nixon are already gearing up for bigger challenges this weekend—but we’ll get into that in the next story. For now, enjoy some clips from the day…
Friday, March 20, 2026…
Hands down the best weather we’ve had in months—and there was no way we were sitting this one out. Light north winds all day, barely touching 5 mph. Smooth, mellow, and perfect for cruising the north coast.
Pilots on deck: Luis Ruiz, Darwin Hernández, Paul Whitmore, and Andrés, arriving from Brasil !!!
