Saturday, August 20, 2022 – Parque del Norte Hatillo, and is Windy…

We arrive in the morning to Parque del Norte in Hatillo. It is always nice to visit the area for all that it offers us. Apart from the fact that we can fly, there are always areas for food, walks and many family gatherings in the area 🙂.

This time the wind intensity was strong, which has been typical throughout 2022.

The Stories…

In strong winds, flight options were limited. You need to be a good pilot and/or have the right gear to fly at over 20mph+ wind intensity…

Edgardo Rivera and Luis Ruiz were easy flying in those conditions. Partly due to their sport paragliders (BGD Luna 2, and Flow RPM) that could handle those types of conditions. In fact, Edgardo traveled twice to the border with Arecibo to share briefly with Milton Santiago’s Paramotor group in the area. By the second flight, the weather was too strong for his safe return to Parque del Norte, so, Wilnelia went to pick him up.

In the meantime, Ricardo González and Mario Muñiz took advantage of the morning hours to go flying. Both showing great progress in their flights, and already flying and enjoying strong wind conditions without any problem. Congratulations!!!

Pablo, for his part, attended Dan Whitney’s inflation practices. He is an experienced Free Flight pilot looking for his foray into the world of Paramotoring. Pablo put him on the air using the Towing method on a couple of occasions 💪.

Extra Details…

Ivonne surprised those present by preparing a delicious meal for all those present at the activity. Thank you very much!!!! Much appreciated 🙏!!!

We celebrated Dan Whitney’s birthday, who was very grateful that we celebrated it.

In the afternoon, there were rains for the entire island, and one of the few places where the rain resisted falling was in Hatillo. Although eventually it also arrived.

Tomorrow, we get back to Isabela. Stay Tuned…
