Saturday, December 03, 2022 – Another Visit to Fly in San German…

We returned to the Valley of San Germán – Hormigueros. Back to the takeoff area located next to PR2 with the sector Caín Alto of San Germán. It was 6:30 AM and the pilots Ted Sowinski and Luis Ruiz were ready to take off and fly the Valley. A little later in the day the students of the Team would arrive, Luis Vélez, his son Bebo, and Aramis Abreu.

With Ted very early in the Morning!!!

Luis Ruiz Take Off early, in turn Ted prepared all his equipment, but could not accompany Luis due to unexpected problems with his Paramotor which did not Turn On. Luis toured the entire Valley above the town of Hormigueros and above PR114, until he reached the border between Cabo Rojo and Mayaguez. He took several videos and photos of the area, which we share with you.

The Start of the Trip…

After about 1 hour flying, Luis landed, and at the same time the students arrived for their training sessions. They arrived with breakfast, and after that we would start training.

Training early in San Germán, is difficult since with little wind, frontal takeoff skills are the option. In this type of practice, physical exercise is more demanding 🙄. We combine this practice, with the Practice of simulating flights with the Paramotor on their backs.

At the end of the morning, all the students, Luis, Bebo and Aramis were showing great improvement in this type of practice. All managing to run for several meters while controlling the Paramotor above them. With this we ended the activity. We will continue tomorrow in Isabela.
