And today, thanks to the excellent weather conditions, this fact was a reality. But there is much more to tell, let’s go in part…

The Start of the Day, some Demo flights…
The morning began with ideal conditions for flying. Luis Ruiz and Edgardo Rivera were in charge of some pending Demo flights, and the new friends have a superb time in their adventures. After this, we dedicated ourselves to enjoying the beautiful day.
The Pilots…
Beginning the morning flights from the pilots perspective was Albert Cardona from Arecibo. He was the first to take off.
Later in the day he was accompanied by his wing partner Jesus Rivera, and, Alberto Sabah, Edgardo Rivera, Wilkins Torres, Pedro Agostini, Sammy Badillo and Luis Ruiz. This time, Pablo Cruz was not flying because he is recovering from an injury in one of his legs. Miguel Orona and Brenda Lopez were present practicing with the gliders on ground.
Late in the afternoon, Pedro and Edgardo would fly together and land in Guajataca Beach in Quebradillas to visit some friends. Then they keep flying together and eventually landed at Posa de Teodoro in Isabela. On this occasion Luis Ruiz accompanied them on the adventure.
The story of First “Solo” fly of Father and Son, Efrain Sr and his son Efrain Orlando…
At one point during the day, Luis Ruiz decided to give the green light to the first flight attempt to the students Efrain and his son Orlando. They felt ready for greater challenges.
The plans did not start as planned. It turns out that Luis Ruiz’s always reliable Paramotor for these first flights, the SkyMax EOS100, was giving unexpected problems this time. The problem appears when Efrain was taking the Paramotor, warming up on the way to the takeoff area…
This could have been the end of the flight plans. But Luis took a chance, which fortunately worked for the best. He bring out a new Fly Products Eclipse Atom80 Paramotor for the occasion. Then, in the warm up procedure, Inexplicably, the Paramotor also failed !!! So, it seemed that indeed, the flights could not take place, and it was a shame because of the perfect weather conditions… (Efrain Sr. said that it was the power of his mind…)
In the meantime, with this unexpected situations, Luis Ruiz attended other stuffs and took a break from this plans. But, Pablo Cruz along with Sammy had other ideas, and took on the task of verifying the Paramotor since it was not normal. It turned out that for some reason, they found water in the mixture with the gasoline, and it had entered the carburetor. Eventually, new gasoline and the cleaning of the carburetor and we were ready for the flights of Efrain and Orlando.
In some minutes, everything was set…, the first to Take Off was Efrain Sr., who was quite nervous, and with the assistance of Luis Ruiz he went out to fly with a noble 29 meter BGD Wasp paraglider. While he was flying, we noted that he could not sit properly in the harness in fly, so, we instruct him to land. Efrain was very happy on his first Fly Ever, and his reaction upon landing was epic…
Then it was Efrain Orlando’s turn, for his flight. We needed to changed the paraglider for his weight. He would go with a smaller 26 meter BGD Luna 2 paraglider. Again with the assistance of Luis, Efrain Orlando made his first “Solo” Fly. Its eventual landing was also one of excellence.
Congratulations to both of you!!! I hope this is the first of many more flights with the Team Kamikazes Paramotor Puerto Rico family. Blessings!!!
