Sunday, December 01, 2024 – The arrival of the Windy season? We gave Training at Isabela, but it was Challenge…

With the arrival of the month of December 2024, we receive the first considerable climate changes. From previous years, normally the first two weeks of December are ideal for flying with light winds and clear skies, then, the next two became windy. This time it seems that the windy days are coming early. “Cold” high winds from early in the morning were the norm for the day. And it feels different than what we have experienced in recent weeks. We’ll see how it goes during the month and the following ones…

The morning in Isabela…

Luis Ruiz arrived early to Isabela and with him arrived the students Sherly Hernández and Miguel Orona, Ricardo González and his wife Ermelinda, Dan Bushman and his wife Angie, Harry Dávila, Berto García and the Dominican pilot Roberto Rodríguez also arrived.

Sherly Hernandez ready to start Training early in the morning!!!

Luis Ruiz went flying on a couple of occasions in winds of 20 mph+, and was accompanied in the air by Dan Bushman, Ricardo González and Harry Dávila. These three pilots managed to get out and fly in these conditions. Amazing!!!

After this, Luis focused on the practices of the students Miguel and Sherly, while Berto arrived with food for everyone and Roberto Rodríguez helped Luis with the student training.

And a Paragliding Practice, of course…

Around 3 PM, the wind was over 22 mph+ and with this we ended the activity. We have quite a few windy weeks ahead of us, so we will have to adjust our activities relative to these seasonal winds. Stay Tuned…
