Team Kamikazes Paramotor Puerto Rico returned to Villa Pesquera Isabela, taking advantage of good weather conditions. There were always unexpected situations and adventures worth remembering.
Wednesday, April 16, 2025…
Early in the morning, we had a great activity. Present were the pilots, Darwin Hernández, Jomar Crespo, Fio López, Miguel Orona, Kenny (Florida, USA) and Luis Ruiz with his son Noah Enrique. In the morning, the wind was strong, at about 15 to 20 mph, but steady and manageable.
Arriving to Live the Flying Experiences…
Haydee Mangual arrived with her daughters Patricia and Valeria from the town of Juana Diaz. Luis Ruiz coordinated previously with them the introductory flights. This time, Luis was assisted in the flights by Darwin. We managed to do the flights and the ladies were very happy with their experiences. Here we leave a short video that best describes the experiences of Haydee and her daughters. God Bless!!!
Wind continues to rise…
As the hours passed, the intensity of the winds increased. Fio López decided not to fly, and Miguel just arrived when conditions were delicate.
But those who did fly were Darwin, Jomar and Kenny. And not only that, but they ventured their route to Jobos Beach. They already know that their return back to Villa Pesquera was very slow!!!
Unforeseen situation…
Finishing the activities, Luis Ruiz’s trusty F250 vehicle did not want to start… it is the first time that we have had a situation with the F250 in all the years of use… We knew that one day it could happen. (Problem related to diesel leak in a line).
Already in a tow truck, on the way to Aguada, we realized that there was a general blackout of electricity for the entire island, and there was chaos… The roads, without working traffic lights, and people buying gasoline for their electric plants, etc. Was a complete adventure to arrive to Home in that conditions.
Thursday, April 17, 2025…
During the morning, Luis Ruiz was coordinating the repair work on the F250, and sending his damaged paraglider to Elisabeth Guerin, in Florida, USA. The island’s electrical power system remains down…
Later in the afternoon he visited Villa Pesquera, Isabela. the flying conditions were spectacular. So, Luis took the opportunity to do an introductory flight to the sport to Jorge (from Miami, Florida), he was very impressed for his flying experience. Check the video. And that is all about!!!
Later, Luis continued to fly at low altitude and speed along the coasts of Isabela. It was full of people, product of Holy Week rest days.
