Strong winds continue affecting the entire island. And despite this, we have managed to maintain our flight and training activities even though they have been limited. This time we arrived to Isabela, and had GREAT stories, beside the strong winds!!!
Saturday, June 21, 2025 – Winds 19 to 22 mph…
Only a small group of pilots and friends made it to Isabela due to the strong winds. Present were the student Francisco Canabal IV, Sammy Badillo, Miguel Orona, Luis Ruiz, Ricardo González and his wife Ermelinda.
Luis was emphasizing Canabal IV training, while Miguel was also dedicated to practice ground handling with a 14-meter paraglider. Only Sammy and Luis managed to fly in the morning, before the conditions became strong in the afternoon.
Sunday, June 22, 2025 – Wind 15 to 22 mph…
We had a more active day, thanks to the fact that the winds, although strong, decreased a little in intensity.
Kamikaze Pilots and Family Present…

On Training…
We took advantage of the morning hours where the wind remained between “good” 15 to 18 mph. Joarelis was in her first day of training, assisted by his brother Chino. At the same time, Brenda, Noah, Canabal IV and Miguel Orona also were practicing. Everyone practiced hard with paragliders in strong winds.
Wilkins Torres testing a smaller paraglider…
On this occasion, Wilkins Torres managed to fly with a 26-meter paraglider, Luis provided it. Wilkins has always flown his 31-metre Apco Thrust, and it was the first time he had downsized the glider to fly in high winds. The result?…, He was happier than a little baby. Being able to fly in strong winds had always been limited for him, and now he is seeing a new world when he finds out that he can fly comfortably with smaller paragliders!!!
“La Voladora Boricua”…
New friends comes and stop in a Big Bus with music to the area. The Bus is called “La Voladora Boricua”. They are visiting different spot in the days, and the group is majority from the town of Quebradillas. His leader took a great video of our activities that we present here!!!
Chino, Sammy and Luis…
The (3) pilots fly together along the entire beach coast until Jobos Beach. Everyone enjoying their flight despite the fact that the winds were already increasing in intensity. Here we leave some videos taken mostly by Chino Morales of the adventure.
