November 9 & 11, 2025
We continue to enjoy the incredible flying conditions we’ve had these past few weeks—perfect skies, ideal winds, and pilots eager to take advantage of every moment.
Sunday, November 09 – San Germán & Isabela
The day began early in San Germán, where several pilots arrived at dawn to join Nixon Porrata for a challenging flying session. This particular area sits near PR-2 and demands precision: takeoffs must be done in zero-wind conditions, and if the launch is tricky, the landing is even more demanding. also is worth mentioning that the weather for the South was not good for the day, so, this limited a bit the distance of the flights.
Pilots Nixon Porrata, Edgardo Rivera, Fio López, and Sam Travis were all on site. Edgardo and Sam managed smooth takeoffs and enjoyable flights.
Nixon struggled but eventually got airborne, while Fio unfortunately couldn’t take off—suffering some equipment damage in the process. Such moments are part of any pilot’s learning journey…
Edgardo, Sam, and Nixon enjoyed flights over Cabo Rojo and Hormigueros before returning to San Germán. We’ll be sharing some videos from those flights as well.
Meanwhile, in Villa Pesquera, Isabela, Luis Ruiz met with Omar Colón. Omar had hoped to fly the day before, and today he managed a few flights using Luis’s equipment, including the Sky Zorro paraglider. This was Omar’s last session before heading back to the USA. Safe travels, Omar!
Tuesday, November 11 – Holiday Flying in Isabela
A public holiday brought an excellent turnout for the flying activities at Villa Pesquera, Isabela. The beach was full of energy, color, and the unmistakable buzz of paramotors.
Pilots & Families Present
- Chino Morales & his girlfriend Sapphire
- Sam Travis & his wife Michelle
- Fio López
- Edgardo Rivera
- Scott Sansone
- Kristiano
Conditions were ideal, and every pilot got the chance to fly and enjoy the sport at its finest. Isabela once again proved why it’s considered a paramotor paradise.
Edgardo Rivera tested a 17-meter Flow RPM2 from Luis Ruiz’s collection, and he was thrilled—flying like a kid with a new toy. Sam flew alongside him, adding to the fun.
Kristiano and Scott, two of our newest students, also spent time in the air with Luis. Meanwhile, Fio focused on ground handling to continue perfecting his wing control skills.
A special moment came when Edgardo took his childhood friend Álamo—a professional boxer from Aguas Buenas—on a memorable tandem flight. His family was there to witness the experience, and we’ve included a video capturing their excitement.
Chino Morales made a Tandem Passenger fly to his Girlfriend Sapphire…
Chino arrived with a clear mission: to take his girlfriend on her first tandem flight. Recently he had flown tandem with pilot Edgardo as his passenger, but this time he wanted to share the sky with her.
I expressed my concerns—as carrying a passenger comes with added responsibility—but they were determined to try. With Edgardo’s direct assistance, Chino successfully launched and flew with his girlfriend, giving her a beautiful aerial tour of the area.
It was a proud moment, and we’ve added a video capturing part of their flight. Congratulations, Chino!
