After a windy Saturday with no flying activity, Sunday finally arrived. Although the wind conditions were still strong, they were noticeably better and allowed us to fly. Arriving early in Isabela, we were joined by Luis Ruiz, along with fellow pilot Kristiano and his wife, Reba.
Luis Ruiz still had two Introductory Tandem Flights to complete as part of sharing the sport. The first was with Maite, the girlfriend of our friend Emanuelli, who had previously experienced a flight with us. The second flight was with Abby, who was visiting from Colorado and is a friend of Kristiano and Reba. Below, we share a few videos capturing both of their experiences. It’s worth mentioning that Luis had to fly with a smaller paraglider in order to safely carry out these flights.
Additionally, much to Luis’s surprise, Kristiano managed to get airborne despite the challenging conditions (around 20 mph winds), achieving both an excellent takeoff and landing on his Apco F5 paraglider.
Overall, it turned into an exciting and memorable day, proving once again that with the right skills and preparation, even demanding conditions can lead to great flying moments.
