Intense Day and Plenty of Adventures Among Pilots that meets at Villa Pesquera Isabela for some flying time. But, there was absolutely NO wind, and pilots had to really work for their takeoffs.
Cero Wind Conditions…
Among the pilots present, we must first mention Enrique González, who arrived at the activity FLYING all the way from Gramas Lindas, Dorado, covering approximately 75 miles before joining the rest of the pilots at Isabela. Very impress…
In addition to Enrique, other pilots arriving to Isabela included Edgardo Rivera, Nixon Porrata, Chino Morales, Abdiel Galarza, Scott Sansone, prospective student Pedro Gregory, Jomar Crespo, and Luis Ruiz—who happened to be celebrating his birthday. With so many pilots present, adventures were guaranteed.
Nixon and His Multiple Takeoff Attempts…
Some time ago, Nixon Porrata claimed that he could take off in any wind condition, even sometimes launching against the wind. This time, he wanted to prove it. However, times changes, and for different reasons, it took Nixon about seven attempts before he was finally able to get airborne. Regardless of the number of tries, hats off to Nixon—he never stopped trying. Here, we show, the complete show of trying in the morning by Nixon. Priceless, OMG !!!
More adventures and flying for the day…
Some of the pilots were unable to take off, and waited until the afternoon for the flights when wind conditions began to improve. And the stories continued right up until sunset… Here are some videos from the day…
