Winter is coming… and with it, our best weather for flying every day. Our traditional PUERTO RICO PARAMOTOR CROSS TOUR is scheduled this year, Saturday, November 24 to Saturday, December 08. Already some international PPG pilots have confirmed their assistance.
During these 15 days!, the members of Team Kamikazes in Puerto Rico will be very active flying in their paramotors in different spots and location through the island. A lot of places to visit and flying in our 75°F and excellent weather. You don’t need to be in the island for all 15 days, just coordinate the days that you could assist and we work for your best paramotor vacations and flying.
DOES I NEED TO BE A SKILL PARAMOTOR PILOT TO ASSIST?
Is advisable that the pilots that comes looking for the “Cross” Tours have a rating of USPPA PPG2 or above, but this is not a requisite, you could come to master your skills and/or take an intensive course in our laminar winds in the beach, this should be coordinate with the Instructor Luis Ruiz previous of your arrival (787)717-2384. We have a trailer to move all the paramotors and paraglider to the different locations around the island.
PASSPORT? – HOW I CAN PREPARE MY EQUIPMENT TO ASSIST?
No passport require to American Citizens. Travel with all your equipment in the airline is possible but in any case, an option used for pilots in previous visits is send their equipment’s by USPS Priority, to my postal address and we keep here until your arrival. The cost of USPS is approximately $100 each round and you have the option to secure it in Postal Office. My Postal address is: HC61 Box 35378, Aguada PR 00602.
The pilots should rent a car and hotel for travel to the difference spots, a lot of options are available and different prices. Airports for book your tickets are, BQN and SJU.
The gasoline here is mostly prepare without ethanol, that means you could use it without worry of damage your paramotor. Rent a motor is an option, but limited. All the service from Luis (Trailer, gasoline, oil, mobility, etc) will be evaluate with pilots for an small fee to covert expenses.
1) For “Cross Flights”, PPG2 Level or above is requisite, the pilot should be capable of launch and landing on his own, and also should have some skills and knowledge in meteorology and aerodynamic situations.
2) Inflation devices is a Must, as Power Float or Nirvana, because the most part of the time we will be flying close to the beaches and corps of water. We could rent it if you don’t have it available.
3) Helmet and communication system, normally we use here a 2 meter radios as Baofeng Dual.
4) Emergency Parachute?, we will be flying mostly at low altitudes in beaches and laminar winds. Is your decision.
This one promise to be a very good year for flying and adventure. Give us a chance and come fly with us! (787)717-2384.
