Two days ago, the Storm Kirk passed at the South of the Island. Strange at it looks in the North Park of Hatillo, the sky had been composed, and we had very good flight conditions. But it turns out that the surf waves was breaking very close to us and sometimes it covered the area we used for the takeoffs.
Presents were, Luis Ruiz, his wife Jessica and sons Ian Darrell and Noah Enrique, Omar Román, Antonio Aria, Juan Carlos Correa his son Jean Marcel, Pablo Cruz his wife Millie, Michael Diaz, Gregory Santiago his daughter Keyra, Eduardo Pabon and his wife Esther.
In the morning the only ones to fly in those conditions were Omar and Luis. Luis made a Tandem flight to Nannete Irizarry who traveled all the way from Bayamon City to redeem his ticket purchased through the “Oferta del Dia”. Pablo and Michael preferred to hold. Antonio, in other hand, was ready to rent an equipment but the paraglider he should use was not there. It stayed at Carlos Candido’s house last week while we were flying in Loiza. Also, Juan Carlos did not want to fly in those conditions.
As the day progressed, the waves gradually receded, and Luis fly again, but he told the other pilots not to fly since a large cloud approached from the inside. It was time to terminate the activity in Hatillo.
Later in the day, 5 PM, Eduardo, accompanied by his wife Esther, went to the area we know as “La Tosca” in Barceloneta and from there he fly in zero wind conditions. We expect for next weekend to have better weather conditions.
