After yesterday’s blowing winds in Barceloneta. Several members of Team Kamikazes, although they had a great time, just wanted to fly. So the Plan this time was to attend what would be our only opportunity to do so. Rancho Grande in Anasco with its winds entering from the West.
As a result, we had Full House again. The pilots and relatives who gathered were:
Luis Ruiz, his wife Jessica and children Ian Darrell and Noah Enrique
Carlos Cándido Rodríguez, his wife Wilma and children CC Jr., Valeria and Fabo
Gregory Santiago, his wife Iveyra and daughter Keyra Lis and mother in Law
Chey Sánchez and his wife Arlene
Ewell Young and his wife Lee Annie
Pablo Cruz and his wife Millie
Alex Diaz and his wife Belén
Randy Tirado
Most of the pilots arrived early and ready… But the strong winds worried us. Winds of 25 mph were reported with gusts of 32 mph in both, the Isabela area in the North and Cabo Rojo in the South. Mid day coming soon and the East winds still reigned in Anasco. The forecasts indicated that it would change, but when ?, and for how long? At least Ewell and Lee Annie, had brought some hors d’oeuvres prepared with salmon and avocado dips and everyone was very happy controlling the cravings eating.
Faced with this panorama, the west wind finally reached around 12:30 PM …, and all the pilots present rushed to prepare their equipment. Pablo, CC, CC Jr., Gregory, Luis, Ian, Chey and Randy …, there was a good quorum 🙏💪.
At 1 PM, the wind stabilized and CC, Grego, Ian, Randy, CC Jr. and Chey all went flying all the way to the Rincon Nuclear Plant. In the case of CC and Randy, they even took “Live” videos of the beaches, which allow us to live the experiences through them.

Also, Alex arrived at Anasco. He was away for a few months taking some training, and was already back. Luis handed him his new paraglider Ozone Spyder 3, one of the first in the entire USA. And there was Alex practicing with it. Luis and CC subsequently flew it and there was much praise about its performance, construction and design 👌. If people want contractors for remodeling projects, they can check them out here!
At about 4:30 PM, just as CC Jr. was preparing to make a Tandem flight with his sister Valeria, the flight window was close due to the weather. Some clouds arrive with rain and changes the wind direction. So, this will be history for another day.
We ended up eating and having a good time at the Rancho Grande restaurant and we are looking forward to the weather becoming normalized in the coming weeks. Thank God for another great weekend between family and friends 🙂🙂🙂.
