Sunday, May 22, 2022 – Back To Villa Pesquera Isabela, Windy but Flyable…

We returned to Isabela, after yesterday’s windy Saturday in Dorado. This time, although the conditions were a bit strong, but definitely better for flying than yesterday.

Pilots of the Kamikazes family present…

Luis Ruiz, his wife Jessica and sons Ian Darrell and Noah Enrique
Ben Doyle and his wife Andrea
Ricardo Gonzalez and his wife Ermelinda
Hermes Ferrer and his wife Neisha
Sammy Badillo
Eric Roman
Jose “TNT” Villanueva
Ted Sowinsky

The wind, although lighter than yesterday, was still relatively strong at 15 mph with gusts to 18 mph. And clouds formed in the interior of the island early, which would surely come towards our area in the afternoon…

In the morning Ricardo went out to fly, now with strong winds he has no major problems with his Paramania GT sport glider. Sammy was also flying. While Ian Darrell and Ben Doyle performed the a couple Demo flights from Mexico tourist named Christian and Lis. Also, Luis was flying around with his little son Noah Enrique.

Part of the Action…

Hermes Ferrer, Eric Román and José “TNT” passed through the area to say hello. Ted, for his part, has to return to the USA to fulfill professional commitments and today in his last day of this visit, was dedicated to practicing paragliding inflation with the BGD Seed. We hope to have him back in August, God willing.

In the afternoon, the cloud that formed in the interior of the island came out in the Isabela area as rain with sudden winds of 30 mph+. This unfortunately destroyed one of our tents 🙄.

As shown in the weather forecasts for the next few days, it looks like we will have to take a break of our activities from constant wind projections of over 20 mph. We will keep you update. God Bless!!!. 🙏.
