A departing cold front that had recently affected the island left behind prime flying conditions. Smooth, steady winds carried through the day, holding strong well into the afternoon—ideal for training and flight practice.
Students Shirley, Cesar, Luis Soto, Tyler, and Edwin Collazo focused on perfecting their forward launches, sharpening technique and building confidence with every attempt.
Tyler and Cesar took to the skies. Tyler, showcasing remarkable natural ability, made every maneuver look effortless.
Meanwhile, this marked Cesar’s final day of training on the island before heading back home to Massachusetts. He leaves with five flights under his belt—a solid start—and a promise to return later in the year to continue pushing his limits.

Another day, another stretch of incredible flying conditions.
On the training field, Pedro Gregory, Shirley Hernández, Javier Cordero, and Tyler James were hard at work refining their skills.
Tyler also returned to the air, this time flying Luis’s sporty paraglider, a Sky Zorro 22-meter wing, adding a new layer of challenge and excitement to his session.
Introductory Tandem Flights
At one point during the day, Luis Ruiz took Paula and Judith—visitors from California—on tandem introduction flights, giving them a first-hand taste of the thrill and freedom of the sport.
As the afternoon rolled in, the team began preparing equipment. A group of pilots from North Carolina is set to arrive the next day, staying through the weekend.
But that… is a story for another day.
