Thursday, April 16, 2026…

We kicked things off early in the morning at Villa Pesquera in Isabela, linking up with our North Carolina crew. This marked their third visit—and each time, the group grows bigger, stronger, and even more determined to return.

Staring the morning with our friends from North Carolina!!!

Seven pilots touched down that day, with Eduardo Back arriving the following morning. Luis Ruiz had paramotors lined up and ready for each of them, while Edgardo Rivera brought an extra unit just in case—because preparation is everything in this sport.

The weather? Not perfect—but definitely flyable.

Morning conditions gave us a window: strong but clean laminar winds. Four of the North Carolina pilots took to the skies, pushing through the wind with precision and confidence. Meanwhile, the rest stayed grounded, dialing in their reverse launch techniques and mastering wing control.

By afternoon, the wind turned aggressive and turbulent, shutting down flight operations—but by then, we had already made the most of the day.

Day two came in strong with much better flying conditions. Smooth skies carried us all the way until 2 PM—then the rain rolled in.

But luck was on our side. This time Luis had the equipment ready to fly before the crew from North Carolina arrives in the morning…

Starting the morning on the 17th…

While the island’s interior was getting hammered with heavy rain and flooding, Isabela worked its magic, giving us a solid flying window right where we needed it.

And this time, the full North Carolina squad was complete—Eduardo Back had arrived, ready to join the action.

Back on the ground, the next generation of Kamikazes was putting in work. Students Shirley Hernández, Pedro Gregory, Edwin Collazo, and Luis Soto trained hard at the Villa Pesquera field, sharpening their skills and building confidence with every attempt.

Saturday, April 18, 2026…

Final day. No slowing down.

The skies turned into a full-blown flight marathon. Morning winds were stronger than usual, and by afternoon, conditions became explosive—testing both skill and judgment.

Among all the flights, a few moments stood out.

Jeff, Eduardo, and Justin showcased next-level control and technique. Justin, in particular, took things up a notch by testing Luis Ruiz’s ultra-fast paraglider—the Sky Z Blade. The result? Pure adrenaline. He felt completely in sync with the wing, carving through the air with speed and precision.

Almost finished, but everyone waiting for Eduardo to go down…

And just like that, the weekend came to a close.

Our North Carolina friends wrapped up their visit—already promising to return for the next adventure. As the afternoon brought heavy winds and rain, the skies made the call for us: flying was done.

A cell storm is coming. Inundation was recorded in the interior of the island…

We closed it all the same way we always do—grateful. Grateful for the skies, for the brotherhood, and for the opportunity to live moments like these.

Puerto Rico never disappoints.
