We continue to enjoy outstanding weather conditions, and the students from the Team Kamikazes school keep pushing forward on their journey to becoming pilots. This week was no exception. Training was intense, and student Luis Soto from Caguas completed his very first solo Paramotor flight. He became the (5th) student from the school to take to the skies over the past two weeks. Congratulations!

With perfect flying conditions early in the morning, Luis Ruiz headed to Isabela to continue training sessions with students Shirley Hernández, Edwin Collazo, and Tyler James.
We also welcomed Mae, Tyler’s girlfriend, who may begin her own pilot training in the coming months. Taking advantage of the excellent conditions, Luis provided introductory tandem flights for both Mae and student Edwin Collazo as preparation for Edwin’s upcoming solo flight.

Once again, the weather delivered incredible flying conditions — actually the best we’ve had in recent weeks.
Team Kamikazes was at full force with students Pedro Gregory, Edwin Collazo, Luis Soto, and Shirley Hernández all present for training. Pilot Nixon Porrata also joined Luis during the practice sessions and flights.
During the day, Luis Ruiz conducted three introductory tandem flights for Milton from Isabela, Cristal — who arrived alongside her husband Luis Moya — and Luis Soto, who was preparing for what would likely become his first SOLO flight the very next day.

With another day of perfect weather, the crew returned to Villa Pesquera in Isabela. Present for the day were Luis Ruiz, Edwin Collazo, Pedro Gregory, and Luis Soto.
While Pedro and Edwin continued practicing, Luis Ruiz focused on assisting Luis Soto during his very first SOLO flight.
After an unsuccessful first attempt, Luis Soto launched successfully on his second try and stayed airborne for more than 40 minutes. His landing was smooth and precise. Congratulations to the newest pilot! We hope this marks the beginning of a long and exciting career in the sport.
More students are earning their wings, and several others are getting ready to follow in the coming weeks. Stay tuned…
