The final week of April 2026 brought a new wave of students to the Team Kamikazes Paramotor Puerto Rico school. New pilots were pushing hard through training and completing their very first flights of the month — and yes, everything was captured on video! We also welcomed two international pilots who came to fly with us at the magical flying paradise of Villa Pesquera in Isabela. Plenty of stories to tell, so let’s take it one day at a time…
Tuesday, April 28, 2026…
The morning kicked off with beautiful weather and light winds. Perfect conditions to officially begin training for Abel Bonilla from Aguadilla. We focused on the theory side of the sport and took advantage of the calm conditions to practice forward launches. Abel was joined by 70-year-old pilot Félix, who had previously trained in Florida, USA.
The forward kitting sessions were intense for both pilots, especially with Puerto Rico’s summer heat already making its presence felt. It was a serious workout, but both pilots did an excellent job.
Carlos and Alicia in the House…
Later in the afternoon, pilots Carlos Rodríguez and his wife Alicia Tejeda arrived. Originally from the Dominican Republic and currently living in the USA, they came accompanied by Carlos’ parents.
Due to previous commitments, they only had that afternoon available to fly, and Luis Ruiz provided the equipment so both could take to the skies. Just like earlier that morning, takeoff conditions were demanding, but both pilots showcased impressive flying skills and launched without major issues.
Wednesday, April 29, 2026…
Another beautiful day of flying, and despite being a midweek Wednesday, the field was packed with pilots. Among the arrivals was Javier González from San Germán, ready to begin his paramotor journey.
Joining Javier for flying and practice sessions were Mario Muñiz and his wife Ivonne, Shirley Hernández, Scott Sansone, Pedro Gregory, Luis Soto, Edwin Collazo, and Félix, who was visiting from Florida. Here are some videos from the day…
Thursday, April 30, 2026…
The day started off with some rain, but pilots Scott Sansone, Nixon Porrata, and Edgardo Rivera still arrived early and ready to fly.
Meanwhile, Luis Ruiz focused on training students Javier, Abel, and Pedro Gregory. Potential new student Alexander also arrived from Juncos. With previous free-flight experience, he joined the school’s students for practice sessions throughout the day.
