Saturday, May 09, 2026 – Yoga Time and Challenge Windy conditions for the Day…

Finally, after a couple of weeks of epic flying conditions, the windy days finally caught up with us. Luckily, we made the most of the past few weeks — especially with the new students at the school.

It’s worth mentioning that yesterday, Friday, pilots Chino Morales, Darwin Hernández, Edgardo Rivera, and Scott Sansone completed an impressive cross-country round trip from Isabela to the Chick-fil-A in Hatillo. The winds were already starting to pick up, but all four pilots pulled it off smoothly without major issues.

Yoga Time…

The morning in Hatillo started with great vibes and high energy, as you can see from the arrival of Edgardo and Fernando de Hostos.

Full Energy in the morning !!!

Waiting for them was Shirley Hernández, who led a morning yoga session before the flying activities began. Joining the yoga session were Edgardo, Chino Morales, Neisha Rosario, and Pedro Gregory.

Amazing !!!

Strong Winds…

By the time Luis Ruiz and Noah Enrique arrived in Isabela around 9 AM, the wind conditions had already become pretty strong. That wasn’t really a problem for the students and their training sessions, but it definitely made things more challenging for the pilots coming in to fly.

Strong winds, but Noah Enrique… OMG !!!

Eventually, Edgardo Rivera, Sammy Badillo, and Luis Ruiz took to the skies.

Flying and Practice. Despite the high wind intensity we had a great time !!!

The rest of the pilots and students focused on continuing their ground-handling practice. This also included the school’s newest student, Kevin Cajigas from Aguada, who showed excellent skills right from the start — and it probably won’t be long before we see him flying solo. Noah Enrique was in charge of the first practices of Kevin on the ground…
