After celebrating Mother’s Day with family this past Sunday, we got back to our flying sessions at Villa Pesquera. The weather was a bit stormy and unpredictable, but the real highlight of the day was the visit from instructor and paramotor ambassador José Casaudomecq, who is currently visiting the island. José and I share a friendship that goes back more than 25 years — and still counting.
Back in 2000 and 2001, when I was just beginning my journey into the passion of paramotoring, I traveled to Miami, FL to purchase my very first paramotor. That’s where José and his brother Javier were running operations at Aerolight, one of the pioneering companies in the global paramotor industry. From that moment on, a strong friendship was formed, surviving the test of time and countless flying adventures through the years.
Today, José is the official U.S. importer for NVolo helmets and also works closely with international paramotor tours, organizing flying adventures around the world. This time, he arrived in Isabela accompanied by his girlfriend Angela, and together we shared an unforgettable day full of stories, laughter, and adrenaline. Despite the challenging weather conditions, we made the most of every moment in the sky. Here is a video prepared by Jose, that best describe the adventures of the day…
Joining José and Angela for the day’s adventures were experienced pilots Nixon Porrata, Darwin Hernández — accompanied by his brother Joey — Scott Sansone, along with flight school students Javier González and Abel Bonilla. Together, we turned another windy day on the coast into a memorable paramotor experience.
