The Nerv has been designed by Ignazio Bernardi, with the technical consultancy from the greatest Italian helmet developer. The result is a helmet with a very modern look.
Shell made of strong poly-carbonate
The 3 mm thickness poly-carbonate shell has the advantage to be very light but still very strong.
Polystyrene reinforced
The polystyrene is reinforced with one more layer of poly-carbonate to achieve the hard penetration test of the E.N. 966 certification.
Between the shell and the polystyrene there are 2 channels with their wholes for the air flow. You can open or close the entrance of the air into the helmet just with one hand and while you are flying.
Visor
The visor is an option.
It is made of poly-carbonate with anti-scratch and anti-fog treatment.
4 types are available: transparent, tinted grey, orange, mirror.
You can also apply a foam on the visor to avoid any air inside the visor.
Sizes
There are 3 available sizes with wheel regulator for a perfect fit of the head circumference from 53 cm to 61 cm.
The size of a helmet is always described by the inner circumference of the internal padding. The size number therefore corresponds to the head circumference in centimeters.
Interchangeable internal padding
3 internal padding are adapted to the 3 sizes determinate by the wheel regulator situated in the back of the helmet. They can be replaced by larger or smaller padding pieces included the wheel regulator, thus varying the helmet size.
You just choose your own size of ICARO tailored inner helmet lining for a safe, perfectly comfortable head fit….
It can be changed in moments in case a different size is needed. If the helmet is not a perfect fit, we send a new padding free of charge, independently from where you bought the helmet.
The important advantage: you can easily remove the padding and replace it with a new one or just wash it.
Ear covers
The very soft ear covers are easily removable.
Sometimes they can change the fabrics of the strap.
In order to increase the protection we advise to always use the helmet with the ear pads protection and never take them off.
Rollbar
A tough, exclusive Icaro helmet with a titanium-anodized aluminum Rollbar for optimum chin protection.
The Rollbar can be retrofitted to any Nerv helmet: you just have to change the 2 ear protectors..
The Rollbar is also available as a standard feature.
Certification E.N. 966
The Nerv has been tested by the Italian laboratory Newton a company authorized by the Italian Ministry of Transport and recognized by the German TUV.
All our helmets are designed especially for free flight and micro light pilots, in accordance with the European standards (EN 966).
Our helmets were designed and built specifically to be as light as possible. However they optimize safety for hang glider, paraglider and micro light pilots, as shown by the information above.

Paramotor Headset PHD1 (Comm Option # 1)
The Headset is based is on ear piece from Peltor to insure highest quality transmission and best noise reduction. One of the only communication headset specially designed for paramotor, high level noisy environments.
This headset guarantees high performance clear communication with long transmission range. The headset communication is PTT activated.
Unlike the competition, it has push to talk buttons (PTT) on both left and right ear muffs, allowing for maximum freedom when flying. The ear muffs can be clicked firmly locked on the ears for maximum noise reduction, or if on the ground can be wide open without need to remove the helmet.
