A very challenging morning of flights due to strong winds and storms that were approaching the island. But it was possible to fly early in the morning and some of the pilots put their skills to the test flying to the limits of their equipment…

Arriving to Live the Flight Experiences…
Víctor Guzmán with his girlfriend Lucy from San Juan
The story of the day was, what could we do before the storm and the strong winds associated with it arrived. (At 11 AM reached over 25 mph+). We arrived early in the morning trying to take advantage of every available minute.
The students of the School…
The students, Miguel Orona and Ronnie Melendez, continued their practices early, both using training paragliders, 14 meter BGD Seed. The pilot Ricky González joined them in the practices.
Demo Flight…
Luis Ruiz was in charge of carrying out a Demo Flight of Introduction to the sport to Víctor Guzmán, who arrived from San Juan with his girlfriend Lucy. They brought a congratulations sign, because Víctor turned 50 years old. We managed to make the fly before the winds increased in intensity. Victor and Lucy enjoyed the special moment, and that is all about… Congratulations!!!
A visit of International Pilot…
We received a visit from experienced pilot Jamie Huey who was accompanied by his wife and little kid. They currently resides in Florida, USA. He went out to fly the entire coast using one of Luis Ruiz’s equipment, a Fly Products Rider Moster and the 22 meter Sky Zorro. The equipment was ideal for Jaime’s enjoyment, as it allowed him to fly everywhere as far as Guajataca Tunnel, even in strong winds.
The Storm Winds arrived…
After 11 AM, the winds increased in intensity until reaching, according to our estimates, about 25 mph+ (40 Kph) with some gusts of 30 mph. We basically finished our activity… BUT…, the pilots Edgardo Rivera and Darwin Hernández had other thoughts.
It should be noted that both are very experienced pilots and have ultra-fast equipment that could fly in these types of conditions, Flow RPM2 15-meters. They made the corresponding evaluations, and decided to do it…, fully knowing the risks, and what it takes to fly in these types of conditions. Furthermore, it is important to point out that they were not doing any exhibition for anyone, just a test for themselves and testing their equipment to the limit. Here we leave a video that best describes what the pilots experienced and achieve…
