Very special day of flight for the pilot community of Team Kamikazes Paramotor Puerto Rico. Pleasant weather in the morning hours, which allowed everyone present to practice and/or fly as they pleased. This weather changed as the hours passed, but during the afternoon the winds easily exceeded 22 mph. And this is important to mention when some pilots visited Jobos Beach and then had to fly in those conditions on their way back. But let’s go later with this story…
The most important thing of the day is that today will be flying in the morning with the revelation of a “Gender Reveal” of the pilot friend Hermes Ferrer and his wife Neisha. At the moment, the sex of the baby has been kept secret and will only be known when the pilots gets flying and release the smoke, blue for a boy or pink for a girl. The pilots who will be flying with the “dust “smoke” system are Edgardo Rivera, who will be the baby’s Grand Father, Alberto Sabah, Sammy Badillo, Jomar Crespo and Pedro Agostini. Hermes and Neisha‘s family were present at the activity.
Arriving to Live the Paramotor Flight Experience…
Prior to the “Gender Reveal” flight, Luis Ruiz was active doing some Introduction Demo Flights to the sport. Firstly, to the student Víctor Zamparelli, who was not in good health and after the flight had to return home early. Later, flights were made to possible new students of the school, like Christian, who traveled from Cidra with his family to live his flight experience.
Later with the young women Aymee Rivera and Aceres from Arecibo. Both with a great adventure…
The Gender Reveal…
The expected moment arrived, many friends of Hermes and Neisha were present, as well as part of the Kamikazes family. The pilots met and coordinated their flights, and the moment arrived… led by the Grand Father Edgardo Rivera, they all flew in formation and released the smoke…, it’s a GIRL!!!!, the moment was very emotional for everyone present . We prepared a one-minute video that best describes what was experienced at that moment. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
A Visit to Jobos Beach…
Once the morning activities were over, the pilots Jomar Crespo, Darwin Hernández, Edgardo Rivera and Luis Ruiz, decided to fly to Jobos Beach. Once they arrived, they landed right next to Foso de Jacinto and went for a tour of the beach.
Gets relaxing, hydrate, and with the prevailing heat, they also enjoyed a dip on the beach. Even Luis Ruiz also had the opportunity to play beach paddles, and Darwin sold some ice cream in the center of the beach… We had a great time, but we had to go back…
Once the pilots began to prepare for their takeoff and flight back to Villa Pesquera Isabela, we observed how the wind conditions had changed considerably. Now we had to fly back and the wind intensity easily exceeded 22 mph+. Fortunately all the pilots were on ultra-fast paragliders to battle those winds. In the case of Darwin and Edgardo, they were both with 15-meter Flow RPM2 paragliders, Jomar with an 18-meter RPM2 and Luis Ruiz with his 22-meter Sky Zorro. It was very interesting to see the performance of these gliders flying in these conditions. There were also moments of strong turbulence, so it was definitely an unforgettable flight for the pilots.
Pedro Agostini in Utuado…
Pedro Agostini had been on our flight activity in the morning. In the afternoon he had gone to his home in Utuado to resolve some matters and after that he found the winds too light and good to fly there. It turns out that he prepared his equipment, and went flying in Utuado, taking Off from the Utuado’s athletic track. Here we leave some of their videos.
Definitely a very special and unforgettable day, and everyone is well and with a more vivid adventure. God Bless!!!
