Due to the passage of a storm at north of Puerto Rico, we managed to count, thank God, with excellent flight conditions throughout the southern part of the island. This meant that Team Kamikazes Paramotor Puerto Rico met on the Santa Isabel Harbor, where we had not shared for a while. But we went further, some of the pilots coordinated a “cross” flight leaving from Punta Santiago in Humacao and flying the entire route to Santa Isabel. This was a flight of a straight line distance of 51 miles, with a possible stop midway in Arroyo, to refuel.
But before the story, we will pass the list of pilots and family members who met up to Santa Isabel:
Carlos Cándido Rodríguez, his wife Wilma and son CC Jr.
Gregory Santiago, his wife Iveyra and daughter Keyra Lis
Ismael de León and his son Abdiel
Eduardo Pabon and his wife Esther
Dimas Ruiz, his wife Deli and son Arielito
Luis Ruiz, his wife Jessica and son Noah Enrique
Chey Sánchez and his wife Arlene
Chelo Meléndez and his son Marcos
Michael Diaz and his father Papo
The brothers Joseph and Danny Cintron
The brothers William and Antonio Rivera
Juan Carlos Correa
David Silva
Sao Cruz
Randy Tirado
Billy Aviles
Rubén Castro
Alex Diaz
First of all we have to mention that we had Full House and an excellent family share, thank God 🙏.
There was a lot to tell, everyone present had their stories. Speaking briefly about these, we can mention Marcos flying with Luis as a passenger of the Trike “El Llanuro”. His father Chelo, giving hard to the practices of inflation in the process of his first “solo” flight” soon. The appearance of brothers William and Antonio Rivera, who had not shared for some time. Likewise, Billy Aviles and Dimas Ruiz.
We must also mention the “cross” flights given by rookie pilots Danny Cintron and Rubén Caro, both came flying to “La Guancha” in Ponce, which is 15 miles away from Santa Isabel. These two pilots have no more than 5 flights each, and they managed to launch in demanding conditions of low wind.
Another notable event was the “surprise” birthday of CC and Gregory, who did not expect us to celebrate it at the place. Also in the afternoon CC and Eduardo flew northbound and reached Coamo. They crossed the PR22 and entering the mountainous area of the sector. Meanwhile, Alex follow Gregory to a fly all the way to Salinas. David for his part, took some greats photos.
After mentioning all this, we leave the most important event for last and with this are accompanied many videos and photos that best tell the story of the experience. It turns out that the pilots CC, Ismael, Chey, Juan Carlos, CC Jr. and Eduardo, met in the morning hours at Punta Santiago in Humacao with the idea of flying to Santa Isabel (51 miles in a straight line). These were assisted on the way by Wilma, Arlene, Abdiel, Michael and their father Papo.
They flew the entire route, with a stop in Arroyo. For a better idea of what was experienced during the trip, we better leave the videos and photos for you to enjoy.
Again, we thank God for another phenomenal day of flights and great sharing of our team Kamikazes family.
