Friday, December 09, 2022 – The biggest Water Swell of the Year in all Puerto Rico Coasts (and Yes! we flew it !)

The Plans…

We go to Villa Pesquera Isabela to do some Paramotor flights that we had coordinated during the week. Specifically to do the Demo Flights of Awilda and Concepción that wants to Live the Experience of Flying. They were arriving from San Germán.

What We Found…

When we arrive to the Place, we found a lot of water… In other words, the biggest swell of the year on all the coasts of the island. An impressive fact, which only happens once or twice a year. And there we were, with the intention of flying 😏.

Amazing Swell !!!

The first intention was to cancel the activity. The strongest climax point of the tidal wave was 9 AM, and it was amazing (check the Video below…). But after 9AM, step by step things began to improve. So, the idea of flying (very carefully) over the coast and recording the tidal wave from above was very tempting 🙄.

We are going to Fly…

So we decided to give ourselves a chance and goes for the Fly. Luis Ruiz managed to carry out the Demo Flights of Awilda and Concepción. Pilots actives in the day were José “Cheo” Román, Mario Muñiz, Ted Sowinski, Alberto Sabah and from the States and now living in the island, David Pugh (more from him in next stories). From them Alberto and Cheo decide to fly, while Ted and Mario decide to keep helping on Ground.

The Take Off of Cheo Roman…

A unique day and we flew it. Here we leave some photos and a short video that best describes what we experienced that day there. Blessings 🙏!!!
