Monday, January 22, 2024 – PPG Tour to our Friends from Kentucky, this time Hatillo and “Cueva del Indio” Arecibo. 2nd Day…

Second day of the Paramotor Tour for our Kentucky PPG pilots friends in the island. The weather forecasts indicated that the intensity of winds would increase throughout this week. And not increase, but it will get very difficult to fly, with gusts of between 25 to 30 mph+ of wind.

Present were Mitch Michael, Richard Turner, Chris Crystal, Chris “Benjo” Barnett, Dan Bushman, Edgardo Rivera and Luis Ruiz. Our plan for the day was to arrive early at Parque del Norte in Hatillo, one of our beloved place to fly. If the weather permitted, we would fly from there in a “cross” flight (downwind) until landing in Villa Pesquera Isabela.

Plans against Reality…

We discovered that the forecast for the days was not wrong. From early on, the intensity of winds was observed way above 20 mph and increasing minute by minute. A ground kiting inflation from Dan, in these conditions was enough for the rest of his friends to give up on the idea of trying it.

After we leave Hatillo, our friends from Kentucky took the opportunity to do some tourism around the island. They managed to visit “Cueva del Indio” in Arecibo and had a great time there. Here we include some photos taken at the location.
