Tuesday, April 23, 2024…
The pilots Sammy Badillo, Jomar Crespo and Instructor Luis Ruiz were present, and they spent practically the entire day flying in excellent conditions, with winds coming in gently from the North.
Luis Ruiz was in charge of the Demo flights for potential students of the school, Sweepey Agront, a native of Aguada, and residing in Chicago, USA. Also the flight for Sharon, who resides in Vega Alta. The Take Off were very challenge due to light winds, at the end, both had a great flight experience. We leave here some short videos of their experiences.
In the afternoon, student Miguel Orona arrived to continue his training on the way to his first “solo” flight. He is already close to achieving it. There are still a few more practices needed and good weather to give him the green light to his attempt. We will keep informed of his progress.
Meanwhile, Sammy, Jomar and Luis take off and fly low along the beach coast. Prior to this, they notified the operations tower of the Borinquen airport, BQN, that they would be flying around Jobos Beach, at an altitude of no more than 100 ft. And so, they flew the entire coast and a little more, here we leave some videos, taken by Mario Muñiz and his wife Ivonne from their home in Aguadilla, from Jomar Crespo while he was flying, and from Chino Morales, who thanks to the flight application “Gaggle” managed to intercept us near Jobos Beach.
Wednesday, April 24, 2024…
In the afternoon we met again at Villa Pesquera Isabela. Present were the pilots Jomar Crespo, Sammy Badillo, Chino Morales and Luis Ruiz. The Paramotor pilot EJ Darlington, from Chicago, Illinois, was also present. He rented a paramotor from Luis Ruiz and was also flying around with Sammy and Luis.
Chino Morales, for his part, kept practicing ground handling with a paraglider. Jomar Crespo this time arrived late, and although he did not fly, he did take a speed bar to install to his Paramotor.
Thursday, April 25, 2024…
Luis Ruiz was in the morning attending matters for the Team Kamikazes school with personnel from the Federal Aviation Agency. In the meantime, Sammy Badillo was taking advantage of the conditions to take a flight around the area.
Friday, April 26, 2024…
In the morning Luis Ruiz accompanied by Jomar Crespo went to Villa Pesquera, Isabela. We had to fly early since after mid day the conditions would become adverse for flying. This time, Luis Ruiz, with the assistance of Jomar, carried out the introductory flights to the sport for Jimmy “Titere” Pérez, who resides in New York, USA and is considering moving to the island.
After the Introduction flight, both Luis and Jomar goes flying together in the coast. Notable that Jomar was making adjustments to his speed bar of his Paramotor…
Later in the night, Edgardo Rivera and his wife Wilnelia, traveled to Isabela with their new camper attached to their Pickup. They are going to stay in the beach of Posa de Teodoro, together with other pilots in their camping, as Wilkins Torres, with his family, Chino Morales, Jomar Crespo, Darwin Hernandez. And some pilots and friends, joining the adventure like Mario Muniz and his wife Ivonne, Sammy Badillo and Luis Ruiz with his son Noah.
