The weather for this weekend was windy for the entire island. Except for the West area and that remained to be seen. So we decided to do the Team Kamikazes flight activity in Rancho Grande Añasco. When for many places it has not been possible to hold an activity, Añasco has always provided us an opportunity. And today was no exception.
Pilots and friends of Team Kamikazes were arriving from all over the island …
Deron Freeman and his family
Chey Sánchez and his wife Arlene
Juan Pagan and his wife Jenny
Alberto Sabah and his wife Mercedes
Alex Diaz
David Silva
José Roberto Nieves
Luis Ruiz
Noel Vale
Gregory Santiago
Eric “Perico” López and his wife Carmen (possible student)
At 10:30 AM we witnessed the change of winds in the area. Firstly, and as in the whole island, the wind entered from East to West. At about 10:30 AM, as expected, the wind began to enter from the West, and with that change the action began.

One by one, the pilots gets ready to fly and take off. Gregory, Chey, Deron and Alex goes straight to Rincon and it beaches. All were skirting the coast until they reached the Rincon Municipal Beach where they had to turn back because the winds changed direction again there. Deron, once he landed, indicated that there was his best flight ever so far …❤️
Others who flew in Añasco were, Juan, Noel and Luis. Each with their own history and challenges. In Juan’s case, he flew for a second time in Paramotor by the “Foot Launch” method. He was excellent in the takeoff and landing. Noel, on the other hand, returned to fly after spending more than a year without being able to do so for various reasons. And Luis was giving some flights, and among them he took the children of Deron to fly, so that they could live the experiences that their father lives every time he goes out to fly.
In the case of José Roberto and Alex, they did not settle for reaching Rincón, but instead continued to fly in the direction of Mayaguez until they reached the Cabo Rojo border.

Eric López visited us from Cabo Rojo with the idea of starting the course soon, we will keep you informed if Eric does indeed start… Alberto and his wife Mercedes also arrived. Alberto is recovering from an injury and is eager to get back on the air as soon as possible.
At about 3:30 PM the flight window closed. But we were all very happy with the flight opportunity we had. In other places on the island it was not possible to fly and in Añasco we had a very good opportunity to do so. Here we show some photos and videos of the activity. Many of them taken by Jenny Villafañe, Juan’s wife. I hope they are to your liking …
