Weekend, July 18 – 19, 2020

This year 2020, is going to become one of the most difficult years in the history of the world of the past decades and also in Puerto Rico. Every day the News headlines are filled with negative news and the general mood of the population is one of much regret and stress at the things that surround us. There have been so many negative things that better not even comment on them 😑…

Team Kamikazes Paramotor Puerto Rico school have decided to fill our Social Media network with positive messages of faith and hope. Few Social Media brings positive message in these times to the island and our School is one of them 💪!!! This weekend for example, we have two (2) young Students, both with 14 years old!!!! taking great steps to join the veteran pilots on air. Derick Castro and Evan Riggs!!!, more from them down in the story…

This weekend, despite the fact that there is a new closure on the island due to the virus. Several members of Team Kamikazes decided to meet to enjoy our beautiful island. Always complying with security processes.

On Saturday, pilots David Silva, Juan Carlos Correa, Alex Diaz, Gregory Santiago, Robert González and Gustavo Verta met at Macho’s Beach in Ceiba. While in the area of Villa Pesquera Isabela Danis Rodríguez and Luis Ruiz arrived. In both places flights were made in the morning hours with very good videos that we present here … We managed to clear our minds and breathe a little freedom before returning to our new reality.

Ricardo González and his wife Ermelinda
Charles Riggs and his son Evan (beginning Training)
Antonio Aria
Luis Ruiz

Again the weather was quite good in the morning hours and it got complicated with a lot of wind in the afternoon. Antonio arrived at the activity flying in his paramotor from his apartment in Villa Montaña. There, he joined the pilots, Chey, Danis and Luis on flights around.

Meanwhile, the paragliding school and inflation practices were very active. Practicing inflated during the morning were Ariel, Derick, Jochie, Ricardo, Charles, their son Evan, and “Piti” (friend of Antonio).

Charles is back on the island resuming his training after 3 years abroad and his son Evan officially started his course today. He just have 14 years old and is showing that he can be a sports prodigy. In its first day of kite the paragliding he already dominated it… beside Evan, Derick was there practicing with the Paramotor on his back. At one moment, Danis, Ariel and Miguel towing him with a rope for his first short fly of 10 ft of altitude. Probably both students going to be in the air real soon 💪…
